225th Anniversary Celebration of Anderson Township

Clough Pike History Walk 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Tour the Clough Historic Business District with a self-guided stroll along Clough Pike between Bartels and Berkshire roads. Enjoy food truck offerings and entertainment in the area, along with access to two preserved homes dating to pioneer days. Historic Clough Crossings Restaurant, once a school, will be open as will other businesses. The Clough Baptist Cemetery also is short walk away and will be staffed with a docent who will provide background on the importance of the site.

Anderson Township’s fourth historic marker is dedicated during the township’s 225th anniversary celebration year. Enjoy a walk through the pioneer homestead, which was built in 1801. Learn more about the unique features of this stone home and the people who lived there.

Celebrate the 225-year history of Anderson Township at a free community-oriented family-friendly event with outdoor musical entertainment, food, demonstrations and events focused on the rich heritage of this township. Planned are miniature boats on Anderson Lake, weavers and quilters with displays, an Anderson Township blacksmith, the Anderson Township Park District flatboat, a display of local prehistoric artifacts from Museum Center and more.
